Dodge is igniting a new era of automotive muscle, announcing today the global debut of the world's first and only electric muscle car and the brand's first multi-energy muscle car: the all-new Dodge Charger.
The next-generation Dodge Charger is set to revolutionize the muscle car world, blending electrified performance with cutting-edge features. Leading the charge (pun intended) is the all-electric 2024 Dodge Charger Daytona Scat Pack, boasting a powerful 670 horsepower, 0-60 mph acceleration in just 3.3 seconds, and a quarter-mile run in an estimated 11.5 seconds. This model retains the iconic Charger muscle car DNA while bringing it into the electric era. It also introduces innovations like the world's first Fratzonic Chambered Exhaust, delivering a powerful exhaust sound despite being an electric vehicle.
The Charger lineup also includes the electrified 496-horsepower 2024 Dodge Charger Daytona R/T, alongside gas-powered options like the 550-horsepower Dodge Charger SIXPACK H.O. and the 420-horsepower SIXPACK S.O., powered by twin-turbocharged 3.0L Hurricane engines. Both gas and electric versions offer all-wheel drive as standard, ensuring high performance and control.
Production of two-door electric Daytona models begins in mid-2024, with four-door versions and gas-powered SIXPACK models rolling out in 2025. Built at the Windsor Assembly Plant in Ontario, the new Charger aligns with Stellantis' Dare Forward 2030 plan, promoting efficient propulsion systems to significantly cut the global carbon footprint.
The electric Daytona models debut on the STLA Large platform, designed for extreme power. These vehicles feature a 400V propulsion system, 100.5 kWh battery, and six performance levels. Regenerative braking, customizable drive modes, and race options like Drift and Donut Mode enhance the driver experience.
Inside, the Charger boasts a driver-centric design, customizable lighting, and high-tech displays, such as a 12.3-inch center touchscreen and optional 16-inch cluster screen. It offers premium interior materials, ample cargo space, and next-gen connectivity with Uconnect 5 and a Drive Experience Recorder for track enthusiasts.
The 2024 Dodge Charger brings muscle car performance to the future with all-electric propulsion, advanced driving modes, bold design, and cutting-edge technology, promising to uphold its legendary status.
