Dodge Hornet GLH 2025: A Performance Version on the Way

Until recently, Dodge was known for its many sport-oriented models, a role now solely carried by the Durango. However, it is highly likely that the Hornet will soon join the lineup as well, thanks to the GLH version.

Originating from a concept unveiled a few years ago, the Dodge Hornet GLH is expected to enter production in the coming months, according to multiple sources. At the time, the model presented to us featured a 2.0-liter turbocharged four-cylinder engine producing 268 horsepower and 295 lb-ft of torque. This is essentially the same engine found in today’s standard Hornet.

A higher-performance variant of the concept was also showcased with a hybrid powertrain. In this version, a 1.3-liter turbocharged four-cylinder engine is paired with an electric motor, delivering a combined output of 288 horsepower and 383 lb-ft of torque.

GLH (Goes Like Hell)

Literally derived from the expression \"Goes Like Hell,\" the GLH badge suggests that this model will offer enhanced performance compared to the standard version. Therefore, we can expect a power increase, although nothing has been officially confirmed by the American automaker yet.

The best part is that the upgrades wouldn’t be limited to what’s under the hood. In fact, a high-ranking brand executive hinted that the GLH version would also feature improvements in suspension, aerodynamics, and several other aspects of the vehicle. The concept also received numerous aesthetic enhancements, including stunning 20-inch wheels.

Growing Popularity

The Dodge Hornet had a rather modest start, but its sales have been steadily increasing. This is the kind of momentum that allows automakers to introduce new variants to their model lineup. As a result, we can expect the GLH version to hit the market by the end of the year if all goes well. In any case, this is a model that enthusiasts are eagerly awaiting, and it will likely boost the Hornet’s popularity even further.
